Check out my review of the shows I saw on the first full night at the Duke Ellington Jazz Festival in Washington, D.C. Over the four days I was there, I saw international acts such as Anat Cohen (pictured), Paquito D'Rivera, and Sonny Fortune, and also a handful of local musicians who give the D.C. scene its soulful vibrancy.
