Michael also writes about all music genres and is a regular contributor to music industry niche sites such as Relix.com, JazzHistoryOnline.com, AmericanSongWriter.com, CountryStandTime.com, and TheBluegrassSituation.com. Before becoming a writer, Michael was a disc jockey in upstate New York, hosting jazz programs for several radio stations. He also created Michael Verity's American Music, a series of one-hour music shows for distribution via Public Radio Exchange (PRX). Michael's radio productions broadcast on CBS Radio and New Folk Radio.As a photographer, Michael also makes an impact on the music world. His photographs have appeared in Blues Revue and on Jambands.com. Education Michael Verity earned a Bachelor Arts (B.A.) in Liberal Arts and Philosophy from Elmira College in 1988. He also holds an Associate Arts (A.A.) in Music Theory from Onondaga Community College.
