Experience:
Spending his formative years in both Toronto and Montreal, Jonathan Lindhorst is now a Brooklyn based saxophonist and composer. He is interested in a lot of different artistic practices, and as a musician, though he is trained in jazz, he spends a lot of time absorbing a wide range of music, including jazz, classical, rock, hip-hop, folk, and various forms of avant-garde sounds. While being involved with a number of different projects, his main musical focus is his bassless jazz/rock trio Turtleboy, which thus far has released two albums.
Education:
Jonathan graduated with a Bachelors of Music in Jazz Performance from the Schulich School of Music at McGill University in Montreal, and with his M.A. in Jazz Studies at the Aaron Copeland School for Music, Queens College, CUNY.
