From the article: Best Jazz Albums of 2009
Around the end of each year, jazz writers feel an overwhelming compulsion to compile lists of their favorite jazz albums. This is your chance to join in on the neurotic behavior. Do you think I made a horrendous misjudgment or two in my list? Have you been itching to make a list of your own? Now's your chance. Share Your Picks

good list, thanks!

Kudos for looking beyond the big names. I will definitely check out the half of the list that I do not know. I also liked Allen Toussaint "Bright Mississippi" and much of the Andy Sheppard, Christian McBride & Inside Straight, Yaron Herman, Stefon Harris, Robert Glasper, Anouar Brahem, Bill Frisell "Disfarmer", Fly, John Patitucci, Mulatu Astatke & Heliocentrics, Steve Kuhn albums (to note a few that stand out)
